Dorcus titanus platymelus female has lived in a breeding tank since January 31th. Today, I would like to check whether a female exactly might be mated since wild caught. If it were mated, It would laid the eggs.

I dismantled a breeding tank until I found a female under the rotten log. As you can see in this picture, It looked like dead already. I caught it up to put it on a rotten log, and then I tried to poke it. It seems a female doesn’t die anymore.
ผมรื้อถังเพาะออกมาจนไปเจอมันอยู่ใต้ขอนไม้ผุที่ใช้สำหรับเพาะ จากที่เห็นในรูปดูเหมือนจะตายแล้ว ผมจึงหยิบมันขึ้นมาวางไว้บนขอนไม้ และสะกิดมัน ผลปรากฎว่ามันยังไม่ตาย
Therefore, My attempt doesn’t work but there is a good news that a female is still alive. Whenever a female is ready to mate exactly, I will update their breeding stories again.
ดังนั้นความพยายามของผมก็ไม่ได้ผล แต่ก็ยังมีข่าวดีที่ตัวเมียนั่นยังมีชีวิตอยู่ เมื่อไรก็ตามที่ตัวเมียพร้อมที่จะผสมพันธุ์แล้วจริง ๆ ผมจะอัพเดทเรื่องราวของมันอีกครั้งนะ
